This veteran commercial service has been involved in computerized assessment and measurement since the early 1970's. They offer an extensive on-line catalog of measurement related software and books. Their FastTEST Professional Testing System delivers CATs in a Windows environment.

Unlike the other testing services represented in this category, ETS did not form its identity with the advent of computer assisted testing (CAT); however, ETS performs such extensive research on CAT that its absence here would be missed.

Specializes in clinical psychological assessment software to support the work of mental health and criminal justice practitioners. As an outcome of the 1996 National Education Summit for governors and business leaders, Achieve aspires to become a national clearinghouse and source of technical assistance for states' academic benchmarking efforts.
