NHERI demonstrates a strong mission to educating the general public about home schooling, as evidenced by its online factsheets and active lecture schedules.

Testing Services for Home Schooling Families [Directory] - [http://ericae.net/testdir_hs.htm]
This directory, compiled by the ERIC Clearinghouse on Assessment & Evaluation, provides sources of standardized tests for home schooling parents. Although, typically, standardized test publishers require certification for test administration, these sources have arranged for variable agreements with the publishers to relax the certification requirements for this special population.

PALS is a resource bank of performance tasks for K-12 science education that are consonant with national science education standards and that have been gathered from such sources as the Third International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS), The National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO), and various states' organizations.
